City of Newcastle
About the role
City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join our IT Service Desk team. This permanent position is responsible for providing first-line support across our ICT environment, including Microsoft 365, enterprise applications, audio-visual technologies, workstation endpoints, and general IT services.
As a member of our team, you won't just work for the city; you’ll co-create it.
Here, your ideas and efforts directly shape the places where you and your community live, work, and play.
We are looking for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working in a fast-paced enterprise environment and delivering outstanding support to end users. You will be the first point of contact for staff, resolving technical issues, managing incidents and service requests through our ticketing system and providing AV support for meetings and events.
You will bring previous experience administering Microsoft 365, working within an enterprise ticketing system and supporting users in an enterprise Service Desk or call centre environment. You will also have a strong understanding of enterprise ERP systems and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to a diverse range of users.
This is an office-based position and requires flexibility to support business operations, including Council meetings on Tuesday evenings and occasional after-hours support between 5:00pm and midnight, with overtime paid for approved additional hours.
If you are an IT support professional who enjoys solving problems, delivering exceptional customer service, and working as part of a collaborative team, this could be your next career move!
