Member Services Coordinator

About the Role

The Membership Services Coordinator supports the delivery of Swimming WA’s club services, participation and member support activities across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.

The role provides a key link between Swimming WA and affiliated clubs, supporting Clubs with their operational needs, coordinating club and member services and assisting with the delivery of participation opportunities and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote the aims and objectives of Swimming WA, within the swimming and general community.

• Work collaboratively with Swimming WA staff, affiliated clubs, all member groups and key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and strengthen club engagement and capability across clubs, regions and participants.

• Coordinate and deliver activations and events for schools in WA across aquatic activities.

• Lead member servicing, program delivery, stakeholder engagement and community development initiatives throughout Western Australia.

• Coordination of events and development opportunities to grow the connection, engagement and knowledge of swimming participants.

• Support governance and best practice across Swimming WA and affiliated Clubs.

• Attend meetings and represent Swimming WA on various groups and committees and liaise with other organisations and individuals on matters relating to sports development as required.

• Advocate for swimming participation, facility access and community outcomes.

• Perform additional tasks, projects and responsibilities as required to support the objectives of the organisation.

Who we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience in the sporting, community, or not-for-profit sectors.

• Ability to engage effectively and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including Clubs, volunteers, coaches and members.

• Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to lead workshops.

• Experience in using databases, CRM platforms or membership management systems (Desirable).

Employment Details

• Full-time, permanent role.

• 38 hours per week, with flexibility to work after hours where required.

• Intra/interstate travel maybe required.

• Valid Australian work rights are required for this position.
