Product Engineer

We are currently seeking a Projects & Design Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team based at our client's site in Scoresby.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early to mid-career engineer to gain valuable experience across product engineering, engineering change management, manufacturing and project coordination within the diesel engine industry.

What’s On Offer:

• 7-month contract, with potential for extension.
• Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
• Start date: 14 September 2026.
• Hybrid working arrangement, with three days onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
• Opportunity to gain valuable experience across product engineering, manufacturing and engineering change management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update engineering BOMs and drawings within the Windchill PLM system.
• Manipulate assembly CAD models using Creo and Inventor, and review engineering drawings to resolve parts and BOM data.
• Support engineering change management processes using ERP systems, engineering tools and established workflows.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and product configuration records.
• Monitor project activities, communicate progress and assist with identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to drive projects and actions through to completion.

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Engineering or a relevant STEM discipline.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of CAD modelling and engineering drawings.
• Experience with Creo, with Autodesk Inventor experience is a must.
• Understanding of BOM structures and the translation of BOM data from CAD/PLM systems into ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
