Mechanical Projects & Design Engineer | Scoresby | 7 Months + | Hybrid

One of our valued clients is the largest Diesel Engine manufacturer in the world. With offices around Australia are in need of an experienced Mechanical Projects & Design Engineer to join their team at Scoresby. Casual role 5 days per week Monday to Friday . MORNING shift 8:30am start - 5pm finish , a great 12 months project with this large international company.

Hybrid: in office 40% (Mondays and Thursdays preferred) and work from home 60%

• Forklift Licences (Highly regarded)
• Experience in MS Office Tools
• Skilled in CAD software, engineering drawings, and change management
• Investigate product issues, analyze root causes, and recommend actions for resolution.
• Document findings and solutions with guidance from more experienced team members.
• Work within business processes related to new product development and engineering change management.
• Execute technical tasks using ERP systems, design review checklists, and specialized tools to support high-quality decision-making.
• Possess a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components, including design and specifications.

Ideal Employment Background:

• Engineering change management within any of the following environments/industries: engine manufacturing, heavy components, sheet metal fabrication, electronics.

Role Description:

• The role focuses on product engineering, specifically managing changes to components of existing  products (engine parts or parts of the engine system/assembly). . 
• This entry level/early career professional, product focused position performs established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area.
• Apply academic knowledge and practical experience to drive project progress while maintaining quality standards.
• Make day-to-day decisions on project details, analysis or test work instructions, and cross-disciplinary coordination
• Execute established work processes and systems independently, while enhancing technology and product knowledge.
• Engage in continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Minimal direct management of people, but may involve coordinating work with technicians or student employees.
• Contribute to team goals, positively influence the work group, and develop proficiency in key competency areas.
