Dispatch / Delivery Co-Ordinator

Eric Jones Stairbuilding Group has been manufacturing staircases for Victorian homes and commercial buildings since 1947. We’re a family-owned business with a long-standing reputation for quality and reliability. This role has come up because the previous person has moved into another position within the business — which tells you something about how we look after our team.

About the Role:

No two days are the same in this role. You’re the person who gets the stairs out the door, making sure every delivery run is planned, every load is correct, and every installer on site has what they need, when they need it. You’ll look after the delivery drivers by planning their runs for the day, make sure everything comes off the shop floor on time, and keep stock and purchasing running smoothly. It’s a busy job, and a genuinely rewarding one.

If the work allows, there’s flexibility to start early and finish early, making it a role that suits someone who likes to get in and get things done.

Key Duties:

• Plan and coordinate the daily delivery run for our installation teams on site

• Make sure every load leaving the workshop is packed correctly and dispatched on time

• Receive and unload timber factory deliveries

• Assist with manual loading of trucks

• Manage purchasing and stock control

• Care and maintenance of company assets

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in dispatch coordination and stock control

• Building or timber industry experience (preferred but not essential)

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Quick thinking and solution focused when things don’t go to plan

• Clear communicator and a genuine team player

• Excellent organisational skills

• Forklift licence (desirable)

• Current driver’s licence

• Able to manually handle heavy loads
