Groundskeeper

Mt Barker Chicken is one of Western Australia's leading free-range chicken producers, proudly supplying premium, ethically raised chicken to major retailers, butchers and restaurants across the state.

Our Rockingham facility has an opportunity for a full time Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team. 

About the Role 
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

• Maintain lawns and gardens on site (able to safely operate grounds machinery)

• Maintain retic systems (including all pump sets and retic ponds)

• Maintain yards and fences

• Tidying and general upkeep of the building and site

• Repair work like repainting, other similar building maintenance, various handyman duties

• Performing basic daily checks

• Includes some weekend work (overtime)

About You

• Experience in a similar role operating grounds machinery is desirable but not essential

• Well-developed time management skills, you enjoy working in a team but equally enjoy working on your own

• You like to work outdoors in manual tasks/work (although your work will not be all outdoors)

• Reliable and self-motivated

• Valid Driver’s License

• High Risk (Forklift) and EWP License highly regarded (not essential)

• Australian working rights
