Chefs - Dean Group of Hotels

An opportunity has presented itself at the Dean Group of Hotels – Walkers Arms Hotel, Largs Pier Hotel & Peninsula Hotel.

We are seeking Casual Chefs to join our busy kitchen teams and maintain our high standard of food, presentation, and service.

Being on a HIGA agreement, we offer a casual rate at level 4 of $36.81 per hour (+ penalties), with 20+ hours available and an opportunity to progress to a salaried position is on offer.

The ideal candidate will need a proven track record in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-faceted environment and possess the following skills:

• Trade qualifications in certificate 3 (commercial cookery)

• Meticulous attention to detail, reliable and enthusiastic

• A professional attitude and a passion for food

• A strong work ethic, pride in the quality and consistency of the food you produce

• Candidates must have proven experience working in a hotel or pub kitchen environment.

• Minimum 1 year of a la carte experience is required

• Available over a 7-day roster (nights, weekends and public holidays)
