About Us

The Garden is one of Perth’s most iconic venues — a vibrant all-day destination in the heart of Leederville, where great food, drinks and good times come together.

From long lunches and relaxed dinners to lively weekends, events and celebrations, The Garden offers a unique mix of restaurant dining and a buzzing beer garden.

We’re now looking for an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences from day through to night.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be a hands-on leader, playing a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue. You’ll lead and mentor the team, drive high standards of service, and help create memorable experiences for every guest.

Your Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Culture

• Lead from the front and set the standard for the team every day

• Support, train and develop staff to build a confident and capable team

• Help create a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture

• Delegate responsibilities effectively, creating clear ownership and accountability across the team

• Keep communication clear and ensure systems and administration are kept up to date

Guest Experience & Service Standards

• Build genuine relationships with regulars and guests

• Lead by example when it comes to service, attention to detail and creating a great atmosphere

• Handle guest feedback and issues professionally and work towards the best possible outcome

• Maintain awareness of the finer details, from food and venue presentation through to service standards and the overall guest experience

Operational Oversight

• Play an active role in the day-to-day running of the venue

• Assist with rostering, stock control and general venue administration

• Ensure the venue is always looking its best, with high standards of cleanliness, presentation and maintenance

• Ensure the team follows all relevant health, safety and licensing requirements

• Get involved in events, promotions and new ideas to help keep things fresh, drive revenue and improve the overall guest experience

Financial Focus

• Maintain wage control in accordance with set targets

• Support stocktakes and maintain strong stock control and inventory practices

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, increase revenue and support the continued growth of the business
  

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or senior FOH leader within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment

• A strong communicator and natural people leader with a hands-on approach

• Proven ability to lead, develop and build great teams

• Proactive, organised and solutions-focused

• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

• Valid RSA and Approved Manager certification

• Comfortable working with financials, KPIs, wage targets and cost control
