Gaming Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a Gaming Attendant to join the team at Milestone Hotel - Leichhardt, located in Leichhardt NSW 2040. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst delivering excellent service to our guests. As a Gaming Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our gaming facilities operate smoothly and our patrons enjoy a safe, welcoming, and entertaining experience. You will be responsible for monitoring gaming areas, assisting guests with gaming equipment, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and venue policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor gaming machines to ensure smooth operation and identify any technical issues

• Provide assistance and guidance to guests using gaming facilities

• Conduct regular checks of gaming equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions to management

• Maintain a safe and secure gaming environment by adhering to all gaming and venue regulations

• Assist with the responsible service of gaming, including identifying and supporting guests who may be experiencing problem gambling

• Process gaming transactions accurately and maintain detailed records as required

• Keep the gaming area clean, organised and welcoming for all patrons

• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and complaints, escalating to management when necessary

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure outstanding customer service

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a Gaming Attendant or in a similar role within a hospitality or gaming venue is highly desirable

• Knowledge of gaming machines, gaming regulations and responsible gaming practices

• A valid R S A, R C G and ARCG certifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of guests

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and regulations precisely

• Ability to remain calm and handle difficult situations professionally

• Good communication skills

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform regular walk through of the gaming area

• Reliability and punctuality
