1st -Year Apprentice – Security & Data Technician

Tolai Technical Pty Ltd is a North Brisbane-based company delivering professional security and data solutions across commercial and industrial sectors. We’re currently seeking a First-Year Apprentice who’s eager to start a hands-on career in the security and data industry.

You will be working directly alongside the owner, a fully qualified Security and Data Technician, who will mentor and train you across all relevant fields including:

• Installation and Commissioning of CCTV, alarms, and access control systems

• Data cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fibre Optic), Security cabling and network setups

• Terminating, Testing and Commissioning of Data, Fibre Optic and Security cabling

• Fault-finding, diagnostics, and system servicing

• Safety procedures, standards, and site readiness

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be comfortable working at heights and in ceiling spaces

• Hold a Provisional or Open Driver’s Licence (Manual preferred)

• Have basic experience with hand tools

• Show a strong attitude, willing to take ownership and commitment to learning

• Be punctual, reliable, and presentable

• Be willing to travel to various job sites

• Hold a White Card

• Be willing to obtain their Security Providers licence
