We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Casual Visual Merchandisers.

This is a varied hybrid position that may include both Visual Merchandising and Brand Ambassador duties, depending on campaign type (Sampling or Merchandising) and requirements. It is an excellent opportunity to build experience across retail execution, product promotion and customer engagement while representing a range of client brands.

You may support liquor, food, grocery and other consumer-product campaigns through activities including stock presentation, display execution, product promotion, sampling and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities:

Your assigned duties will depend on the campaign type and will be clearly outlined before each shift.

Merchandising competencies:

• Visual Merchandising: Skill in creating visually appealing product displays and layouts to attract customers and drive sales.
• Forecasting and Planning: Ability to forecast demand accurately, plan product assortments, and develop inventory strategies to meet sales targets.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with suppliers, vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to coordinate merchandising activities and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers, vendors, and partners, including pricing, delivery schedules, and promotional opportunities.
• Customer Focus: Commitment to understanding customer needs and preferences, and tailoring merchandising strategies to enhance the shopping experience and drive customer satisfaction.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with colleagues in areas such as marketing, sales, and operations to achieve common objectives.
• Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and accuracy in executing merchandising tasks, including product placement, signage, and pricing.

Brand Ambassador Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-store product tastings and sampling activations.
• Confidently engage customers in friendly conversations.
• Share product knowledge and tell compelling brand stories.
• Recommend products and encourage customer purchases.
• Represent premium liquor brands with professionalism.
• Set up and pack down sampling stations.
• Maintain presentation standards throughout each activation.
• Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) guidelines at all times.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Be comfortable performing both merchandising and Brand Ambassador duties
• Be reliable, punctual and committed to completing accepted shifts
• Communicate clearly and professionally
• Confidently approach and engage with customers and retail staff
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Follow campaign instructions accurately
• Work independently and manage your time effectively
• Use a smartphone to capture photographs and complete reports
• Maintain a professional presentation
• Adapt to different products, stores and campaign environments
• The legal right to work in Australia

Essential Requirements:

• Hold a current Australian driver licence
• Have regular access to a reliable car
• Hold a valid RSA
• Be willing and able to travel to assigned store locations
• Flexibility to travel between store locations

Desirable experience:

Previous experience in any of the following areas will be viewed favourably:

• Retail merchandising or stock replenishment
• Brand ambassador or promotional work
• Product demonstrations, tastings or sampling
• Grocery, food, beverage or liquor retail
• Customer service, sales or hospitality

Availability requirements:

• Applicants must be available to accept shifts between Monday to Saturday.
• Shift times, duration and frequency will vary according to campaign and client requirements.
• Casual hours are not guaranteed and may change from week to week.
