Spirit of Tasmania
About the role
Fixed-term full-time position (15 months)
Provide high-level support to the CEO, Executive and Board
Become an integral and valued member of a dynamic Executive Team
Spirit of Tasmania is widely recognised for its contribution to the Australian tourism industry and for fostering Australia’s economic development through the provision of a world-class passenger and freight service. Since its inception, Spirit of Tasmania has steadily grown through its commitment to safety, reliability and modernisation, delivering an unparalleled level of customer service.
We are seeking an organised, professional and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to our Chief Executive Officer, Executive Team and Board of Directors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the Board and CEO’s complex calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Acting as the primary contact for the CEO, managing engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinating and attending Board and Board Committee meetings and preparing and distributing agendas, papers, meeting materials, minutes, and follow-up correspondence.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience in an administrative role, preferably supporting senior executives.
The ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-volume work environments, coordinating multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports and meeting documentation.
This is an exciting time of transformational change and growth for Spirit of Tasmania, and there is no better time to join us, with new-generation vessels and a new terminal facility in Devonport commencing operations soon.
If you are a highly capable Executive Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with senior leaders and Boards, we would love to hear from you!
To submit an application, please apply via SEEK with your resume and cover letter by 18 September 2026.
