Primary objective
Lead and coordinate a small service delivery team with the specific aim of providing efficient, accurate and effective
customer-focused accounts receivable services to client agencies in relation to issuing of invoices, processing receipts and
managing government customer accounts.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead and coordinate a small accounts receivable team ensuring that customer requests are managed professionally and
that invoices, receipts and account records are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Manage a portfolio of government agencies and customer accounts, ensuring enquiries, outstanding balances and
services requests are managed effectively and within agreed timeframes.
3. Investigating and resolving complex customer enquiries, account issues and service matters.
4. Facilitate the ongoing development of the team's knowledge and technical expertise.
5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in customer service, team performance and work practices.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement in a customer
service focused delivery environment.
2. Ability to coordinate and guide a customer service team to deliver accurate, timely and client-focused services.
3. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve complex customer,
account and service issues while applying relevant legislation, policy, procedures and standards.
4. Proven ability to deliver clear, accurate and audience-appropriate verbal and written communication, provide sound
advice and prepare practical procedures or guidance materials for staff and stakeholders.
5. Proven ability to use Microsoft Excel or similar systems to analyse data and support evidence-based recommendations
and decisions.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of legislative, governance and accountability requirements relevant to accounts receivable
service delivery and the ability to apply them consistently.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD)
values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice, accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.
