Area Manager Retail Liquor

RLSG is currently recruiting for an Area Manager to manage the activities of its three Cellarbrations Stores in the ACT.  Reporting to the Operations Manager the Area Manager is responsible for 1) the efficient day to day running of the ACT liquor stores 2) working in the stores on a rotational basis 3) providing guidance to second in charge, part time and all team members; and as such has responsibility to:

a)     Manage and develop staff to deliver a high level of customer service

b)     Mentor fulltime position to ensure customer service and store presentation

c)     Maximise the profitability and viability of the store/s

d)     Manage and ensure that all WHS standards are maintained in each store

Essential Selection Criteria

1)     Diploma or Certificate IV in Business or Management or Leadership or equivalent

2)     Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively

3)     Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a store manager role

4)     Effective written and oral communication skills

5)     Proven ability to coach staff ‘on the job’

6)     Responsible Service of Alcohol Qualification (relevant to ACT)

7)     Driver’s Licence (current)

8)     Ability to lift medium to heavy weights for period of time

9)     Intermediate computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)

Desirable Selection Criteria

·       Experience in a similar role in the liquor industry

·       Liquor product knowledge

·       Forklift Licence

·       Willingness to under Police Check
