Service Manager - Emerald QLD

This is a key leadership role with full accountability for the operational and financial performance of the department, including safety, labour recovery, work in progress (WIP), customer satisfaction and team development. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:Hands on leadership and development of our service teamTake full ownership of the department P&L, budgets, forecasting and financial performanceDrive commercial outcomes, and productivity across workshop and field service operationsActively manage WIP, safety & driving total customer satisfactionEnsure the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellenceWork collaboratively with Parts, Customer Support and Administration teams to deliver outstanding customer serviceIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and performanceSupport workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and apprentice developmentBuild strong relationships with customers and provide leadership in a fast-paced, evolving service environment
About You - We want to hear from you if you possess the following qualities:A Cert III Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting, Mobile Plant or a related heavy equipment tradeProven leadership experience managing large service or maintenance teams within the mining and construction industryStrong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing departmental budgets and P&L performanceA solid understanding of labour recovery, utilisation, WIP management and service profitabilityAdvanced capability across Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPointThe ability to analyse data, manage competing priorities and make sound commercial decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, adaptable leadership style with the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needsExperience within mining, construction, earthmoving or heavy equipment industries
