THE ROLE
As part of our continued investment in leadership and educational excellence, we are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Junior School in the newly created role of Deputy Head of Junior School – Kindy to Year 2, commencing in Term 1, 2027.
Reporting to the Head of Junior School, this pivotal leadership role supports the effective administration and day-to-day operations of the Junior School, with a particular focus on our early years and lower primary programs.
As a highly visible and influential member of the Junior School Leadership Team, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to drive outstanding educational outcomes. You will lead initiatives that enhance student learning and wellbeing, support teachers to deliver engaging, evidence-informed programs, and contribute to a culture where both students and staff can flourish.
From analysing student achievement data and supporting families, to mentoring staff, leading curriculum improvement, and overseeing key operational functions, this is a diverse and rewarding role that offers genuine opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Success in this position requires the ability to balance strategic priorities with the daily rhythm of a dynamic Junior School environment, maintaining a strong focus on excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
A classroom teaching component forms part of the role, ensuring continued connection to students, teaching practice and contemporary educational approaches.
