We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in a full-time ongoing position. The successful applicant will prepare and cook menu items, maintain food quality and presentation, support kitchen operations and comply with food safety and workplace standards.

• Primary location: Shop 7, 350 Cambridge Street, Wembley, WA 6014.

• Other location: The successful applicant may also be required to work at the other location at Shop 8, 5 Fremantle Road, Gosnells, WA 6110 where applicable, based on genuine operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards and service requirements.

• Operate charcoal grills to execute core menu items precisely to customer specifications (e.g., specific char levels, ensuring items are fully cooked with minimal charring when requested).

• Perform bulk meat handling, including large-scale prep, trimming and precision meat marination.

• Prepare and cook various signature sauces in bulk to support multiple menu items.

• Check food quality and freshness and regulate cooking equipment temperatures.

• Season, portion, plate and present meals consistently.

• Coordinate food preparation to meet service times and customer demand.

• Monitor stock, rotate ingredients and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.

• Maintain food safety, hygiene, allergen and temperature-control standards.

• Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

• Assist with menu development, cost control and training of junior staff where required.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant commercial cookery experience in a comparable environment.

• Demonstrated experience in charcoal grilling and high-volume meat prep.

• Strong understanding of bulk cooking techniques, flavour consistency and large-scale sauce production.

• Excellent precision in temperature and doneness control, with the ability to customise cooking based on customer preferences.

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and food safety.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

• Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills.

• Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.

Employment Details

• Employment type: Full-time, ongoing.

• Ordinary hours: 38 hours per week.

• Salary: AUD $79,500 - $84,500 per annum plus superannuation.

• Location: Wembley, Gosnells
