Chef – Café Kitchen (Adelaide)

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Chef with at least 4 years’ experience to join our vibrant Adelaide café. This role is ideal for someone confident running a kitchen independently on quieter days and working as part of a team during busy weekend services.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations during your shift, delivering consistent, high-quality café meals, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. On weekdays, you will often run the kitchen solo, while weekends involve working alongside another chef for smoother service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present café-style dishes to a high standard
• Confidently manage solo kitchen shifts on weekdays
• Work collaboratively with a second chef on weekends
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Handle prep, stock rotation, and portion control
• Assist with stock ordering and inventory
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and efficient

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a café or commercial kitchen
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good understanding of food safety standards
• Calm and efficient under pressure
• Reliable and punctual
• Available to work weekends
