Estimator

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our friendly team based on the Gold Coast or Brisbane CBD. This role ensures estimating and project reporting are completed accurately and on time for AVID’s built form projects.

Some of your tasks will include:

• Using Master BOQ’s or estimate quantities of building materials using Bluebeam and Databuild to calculate building costs of housing or townhouse product.
• Providing feasibility budget updates as required
• Monitoring construction schedules and expediting purchase orders
• Negotiating with suppliers to obtain best practice and price
• Interpreting building plans, building regulations and codes of practice
• Carrying out stage tender analysis on various trades like Frame & Truss / Roofing/ Windows / Landscaping
• Undertaking and reporting cost to complete projects as needed
• Undertaking Development feasibility updates and advising forecast build cost for projects

We are looking for someone with minimum 7 years experience in a similar role with a comprehensive knowledge of relevant building legislation. Experience with Databuild / Bluebeam / PROCURE / Voyager would all be advantageous. A trade certificate is desirable but not essential.
