Workshop Technician – Vending & Smart Technology

About the role

This is a practical, workshop-based role focused primarily on preparing, servicing, maintaining and repairing vending and refrigeration equipment for our growing business. You will set up and refurbish vending machines, diagnose faults, replace components, configure payment systems and ensure equipment is ready for customer deployment. The role will also provide exposure to commercial refrigeration and emerging smart vending technology.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, test and prepare vending machines for customer locations

• Diagnose and repair vending machine faults

• Replace components including motors, switches, fans, lighting and other parts

• Program and configure vending machines and payment systems

• Clean, test and refurbish vending equipment

• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment testing

• Prepare equipment for delivery and installation

• Diagnose and repair commercial fridges and freezers when required

• Assist with refrigeration servicing and repairs

• Keep the workshop, tools, equipment and spare parts organised

About you

• Mechanically and technically minded

• Strong at fault finding and practical problem solving

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Confident using computers and learning new software

• Interested in vending, AI, smart devices, automation and emerging technology

• Comfortable troubleshooting basic networking and connectivity issues

• Curious and willing to learn how new technology works

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

• Able to work as part of a small team

• A restricted electrical licence would be an advantage but not essential
