Domestic Assistance Worker - Supporting Elderly + Vulnerable Clients At Home

About the role

This is a meaningful role where you'll help with basic domestic assistance, and bring a little joy to someone's day who may need it most. This is a daytime-only position, with work hours from 9.00a.m.-4:30p.m. Mon-Fri. No weekends or nights.

Key responsibilities

• Light domestic cleaning: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms + kitchen

• Other light domestic tasks/general household upkeep

• Monitoring client welfare

• Respectful, friendly conversation with clients

• Reporting or flagging any concerns or emergencies via form submission

About you

• Registered, insured + reliable motor vehicle (minimum third party insurance)

• Valid, unrestricted drivers licence

• Smart phone that has capacity to download and use apps + access to mobile data

• Valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain at applicant's own cost)

• Valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) — mandatory before commencing employment

• Valid First Aid (HLTAID011) + CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate (or willingness to obtain at applicant's own cost)

• Aged Care Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain at applicants own cost)

• Solid communication skills

• Genuine care for clients and their well-being, and willing to go the 'extra mile' when needed

• Reliability + consistency - our clients rely on us to support them with the things they can no longer do, which means they need us to show up consistently, as often as we can
