Domestic Assistance Worker (Aged Care) — Canberra

Click-ACS is a majority Aboriginal-owned business who provide Domestic Assistance, Gardening + Transport support services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), supporting our elderly and vulnerable clients to stay safe and comfortable in their homes. This is a meaningful role where you’ll help with basic domestic assistance, and bring a little joy to someone’s day who may need it most.

Your day will include:

• Light domestic cleaning: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms + kitchen
• Other light domestic tasks/general household upkeep
• Monitoring client welfare
• Respectful, friendly conversation with clients
• Reporting or flagging any concerns or emergencies via form submission

What we need from you:

• Registered, insured + reliable motor vehicle (minimum third party insurance)
• Valid, unrestricted drivers license
• Smart phone that has capcity to download and use apps + access to mobile data
• Valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain at applicant's own cost)
• Valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) — mandatory before commencing employment.
• Valid First Aid (HLTAID011) + CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate (or willingness to obtain at applicant's own cost)
• Aged Care Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain at applicants own cost)
• Happy, friendly attitude
• Solid communication skills
• Genuine care for our clients and their well-being, and willing to go the 'extra mile' when needed
• Reliability + consistency - our clients rely on us to support them with the things they can no longer do, which means they need us to show up consistently, as often as we can

Please note: This is a daytime-only position, with work hours from 9.00a.m.-4:30p.m. Mon-Fri. No weekends or nights.

Pay: $33.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 30.0 per week
