Point of Sales Administrator & Office Admin

Location: Maitland, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers with counter sales, product enquiries and orders.
• Assist call-in customers with placing orders for stock.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and process sales transactions.
• Prepare, capture and process quotations and invoices.
• Check stock availability and assist customers with product information.
• Handle customer queries, follow-ups and general correspondence.
• Maintain accurate customer, order and sales records.
• Perform general office administration, filing and data capturing.
• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
• Work closely with the team to ensure efficient and professional customer service.
• Provide general sales and administrative support as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in counter sales, sales administration or office administration.
• Experience assisting walk-in and telephone customers.
• Previous experience working with a Point of Sale / POS system.
• Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and manage pressure effectively.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment.

Advantageous

• Previous pool technical experience.
• Experience within the fibreglass, pool or related industry.
• Knowledge of fibreglass products and applications.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be confident dealing directly with customers both telephonically and face-to-face, comfortable handling counter sales and customer orders, and capable of balancing sales support with general office administration.
