About the role
Barbaro Butchers is seeking an experienced Retail Butcher to join our team in Greenwood, WA 6024. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and maintaining the highest standards of meat preparation and presentation. As a Retail Butcher, you will be at the heart of our business, utilising your expertise to provide quality cuts of meat and expert advice to our valued clientele. This position is essential to our reputation for excellence and our commitment to delivering premium products and outstanding customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cutting a variety of meat products ensuring quality and consistency across all cuts

• Operating butchery equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining all tools and machinery to the highest standard

• Assisting customers with product selection, offering expert recommendations and advice on meat types, cooking methods and preparation

• Displaying meat products attractively in refrigerated cabinets and window displays to promote sales and customer appeal

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

• Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in butchery or equivalent practical experience in a retail butcher environment

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and health regulations relevant to meat handling

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate knowledgeably and courteously with diverse customers

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work

• Teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a busy retail environment
