About the role
A butcher role focused on preparing, cutting, trimming, deboning and portioning meat to a high standard, producing value-added products such as sausages, mince and marinades, and providing customer service in a retail environment.
Key responsibilities
Prepare, cut, trim, debone and portion meat to a high standard.
Produce sausages, mince, marinades and other value-added products.
Maintain excellent product presentation and quality.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain clean work areas, equipment and tools.
Monitor stock rotation, minimise waste and assist with stock control.
About you
Recognised qualification or relevant experience as a butcher.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat preparation.
Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Consistently high standards of workmanship and product quality.
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and food safety.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist customers and colleagues.
