KIDSTUFF Store Manager

About the role

As Store Manager, you'll run your store with a focus on your team, customers, and creating a store you can be proud of. You'll be sales focused, operationally aware, and hands on with the day to day. You'll have a Cluster Manager and support office behind you, so you're never sorting out the hard stuff on your own.

Key responsibilities

• Look after customers and show the team how it's done, knowing the range well enough to find the right present for everyone

• Run the shift by handing out jobs, keeping things moving, coaching as you go, and making sure new starters settle in

• Handle opening and closing with keys and codes

• Handle cash properly including registers, refunds and exchanges, till reconciliation and daily banking and reports, done accurately every day

• Keep the store looking good with deliveries out fast, shelves full and ticketed, and displays set to a plan

• Work through the daily task list in the store ops app and action tasks as and when asked

• Tell management what's going on, including what customers are asking for, what isn't working, and anything that needs fixing

• Take instruction and complete what is needed together with your Cluster Manager

About you

• Warm and energetic, and you enjoy dealing with kids and their grown-ups

• Organised, calm when it's busy, and good at coaching people

• Reliable with keys, cash and following procedures and tasks as instructed

• Happy to speak up and keep your manager in the loop

• Available across a retail roster Tuesday to Saturday

• You'd rather be on the floor than in an office

• You notice when a shift is getting away from you and you sort it out

• You like sending people home happy, whether that's a customer who found the right present or a team member who had a great day

• When something's wrong you say so early, instead of hoping it sorts itself out
