Open Pit Mining Engineer

About The Roles
With multiple open pit projects in operation and new projects in our pipeline, we are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team on a multi year gold project.
  
About You
The successful applicant will be degree qualified, with post grad experience working in open pit mining in a drill & blast, load & haul contractor environment.


The successful applicant must possess:

• Experience interfacing with clients to execute plans.
• Contracting experience including preparation of monthly claim
• Open Pit Gold experience in WA
• Ability to self manage and work to deadlines
• Experience in open pit drill and blast pattern design is Essential
• Short Term planning experience, ideally in a multiple/satellite pit environment
• Advanced computer literacy including exposure to Surpac and Blast Plan Pro/Shot Plus
• Current knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act and regulations and WA Work Health Safety Laws. 

 Working with a back to back on 8&6, this role is the lone engineer on the project, so experience in a small scale environment is preferred.
  
Other Essential Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualification: Bachelor of Mining Engineering
• 5 years post graduate experience in Open Pit Mining
• Valid WA Drivers Licence 
• Australian Right to Work 
• National Police Clearance
• S26 Qualifications advantageous

  
This is an even time 8&6 rostered position, FIFO from Perth.  Ensuited camp facilities including Telstra phone and wifi coverage.
