Cimic Group
About the role
WORKERS COMPENSATION COORDINATOR
Location flexible | HSEQ | Permanent role
The work you do here reaches further than your job description.
At CIMIC, we are the team behind the operating companies that deliver some of the most significant infrastructure projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific. We connect capability, expertise and services across the Group, helping CPB Contractors, UGL, Leighton Asia, Sedgman, Pacific Partnerships and EIC Activities focus on the work only they can do.
We are looking for a Workers Compensation Coordinator to join our Health, Hygiene and Injury Management team based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. This role is for someone who wants to apply deep expertise across multiple operating companies. Someone who wants to influence outcomes beyond a single project or business. And someone who wants to work with specialists across one of the world's leading construction and infrastructure groups.
What you will do
This role is responsible for supporting the operational aspects of the injury management and workers compensation team. You’ll work closely with Injury Management Advisors, payroll teams, insurers and project stakeholders to ensure effective case and claims management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Provide timely and accurate support to workers compensation and injury management processes across projects and business units.
· Coordinate early notification activities and gather initial injury and incident information to support early intervention.
· Maintain the integrity, accuracy and completeness of workers compensation and injury management systems and records.
· Support wage-related claim processes, including payments, reconciliations and remittance activities.
· Assist Advisors and Senior Advisors to ensure effective claim progression and compliance with legislative and company requirements.
· Produce regular and ad hoc workers' compensation reports, identifying claim trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for performance improvement while maintaining high data quality standards.
· Administer and maintain workers' compensation systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
What you will bring
1–3 years’ experience in workers compensation, return to work / claims management, payroll-related processes, or a similar environment.
Foundational understanding of workers compensation and return to work frameworks.
Experience working with systems and databases, with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and requirements.
Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
Professional approach to confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
Commitment to safety, governance and CIMIC’s One HSE Cultural Framework.
