Coating Installer / Linemarker

About the role

Brick N Pave is seeking a Coating Installer / Linemarker to join our team on a casual basis with potential of Full Time. This role is based in Banyo QLD 4014 and involves the installation of protective coatings and the application of line markings on various surfaces. You will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality finishes that enhance both the aesthetic appeal and durability of our clients' properties and commercial spaces. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking flexible, casual work in the trades and services sector.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and priming to ensure optimal coating adhesion

• Applying protective coatings to concrete, asphalt, and other surfaces using industry-standard techniques and equipment

• Measuring, marking, and painting line markings on car parks, roads, warehouses, and other commercial and residential surfaces

• Operating and maintaining coating and line-marking equipment, including spray guns, rollers, and marking machines

• Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

• Communicating with supervisors and team members to ensure project specifications are met

• Keeping work areas clean and organised, and properly disposing of materials in accordance with environmental standards

• Inspecting completed work for quality and consistency before handover to clients

What we're looking for

• Previous experience not necessary but desirable, or in a similar role within the trades and services industry. you will be trained in our installation methods

• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating application methods

• Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment commonly used in coating and line-marking work

• A strong understanding of health and safety requirements on construction and commercial sites

• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

• Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual shift work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Current driver's licence is advantageous

• Truck licence a bonus and a quicker path to receiving full time employment
