We are looking to expand our Perth team and are seeking a standout individual to help drive our team forward

The Senior Estimator plays a key role in leading the cost estimation process for projects and ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially feasible project pricing. As a Senior Estimators in Aspect, you are required to have experience across design, engineering and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead estimating across tender lifecycle – from RFP review through to submission, including go/no-go input on scope clarity, risk, resourcing, and margin feasibility.

• Developed pricing and bid strategies – contributing to methodology, delivery approach, resourcing assumptions, and pricing models (lump sum, reimbursable, hybrid).

• Prepared detailed cost estimates – across all project phases (concept, FEED, detailed design, and project delivery).

• Build robust pricing – including first-principles estimates for brownfields and norm-based models for greenfields projects.

• Identify Aligned cost estimates with delivery methodology – incorporating labour rates, productivity factors, escalation, and clearly defined assumptions, exclusions, and qualifications.

• Identify and manage risks – including scope gaps, programme assumptions, and resourcing constraints, ensuring all risks and assumptions were documented and understood.

• Collaborate and supported delivery – coordinating inputs across engineering, procurement, and suppliers, mentoring junior estimators, and supporting project handover and early execution phases.

Essential:

• Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years' experience from recognised engineering contractors/ heavy construction, engineering consulting companies.

• Estimating experience with first principal build-up of man hours for structural steel, mechanical equipment, piping and E&I & Experience pricing design / engineering packages

• Strong Microsoft office suite particularly, Excel & Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently

• Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications & Be proficient in the use of estimating software and other relevant digital tools

• Highly detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality & Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Desirable:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in, Engineering, Estimating or a related field.

• Familiarity with project management platforms

• Ability to lead a team
