Customer Service Officer – Student Services
Permanent full-time | Parramatta | Office-based/Hybrid
Help students take their next step
Our Customer Service Officers are often the first people prospective students speak with and a continuing point of support throughout their training.
You will help people understand their options, complete their enrolment and navigate their training journey. At the same time, you will keep records accurate, follow up outstanding actions and work closely with trainers and other team members.
This role combines customer service, administration and practical problem-solving. It would suit someone who enjoys helping people but also understands that good service depends on accuracy, organisation and follow-through.

Asset College is an award-winning registered training organisation that has delivered vocational education and training since 2006.
We specialise in education for the security industry, including security operations, investigations, technical security, cyber security, firearms safety, risk management, leadership and related fields.
For 20 years, we have helped people develop practical skills, gain recognised qualifications and progress their careers.
What you will do
Respond to course enquiries by telephone, email and in person, providing clear and accurate information
Guide prospective students through applications and enrolments, including following up enquiries and outstanding requirements
Support current students, respond to questions and ensure issues are resolved or referred to the appropriate person
Maintain accurate student, enrolment and communication records across our management systems
Coordinate course administration and assist with routine reporting, funding, compliance and improvement activities
What success looks like
You will be successful in this role when:
Students receive accurate information and timely support
Enquiries and outstanding actions are consistently followed up
Enrolments and student records are complete and reliable
Problems are owned, resolved or escalated appropriately
Trainers and other team members are kept informed
You look for sensible ways to improve the student experience and our administrative processes
What you will bring
We are looking for someone who is approachable, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility for their work.
You will have:
Experience in customer service, administration or a similar role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to communicate confidently with people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion
Confidence using Microsoft 365 and learning new digital systems
Sound judgement and a practical approach to solving problems
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Previous experience in vocational education and training, student administration, aXcelerate or Student Convert would be advantageous but is not essential. Training and support will be provided.
