About the role
Are you a talented Draftsperson with a passion for design and interiors in the residential arena? Sovereign Homes is a well-established design and construction company that seeks another team member to help bring bespoke homes to life.
With over 25 years in the industry, we specialise in high-quality custom homes and renovations across Brisbane. Our team is driven by craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration, we're looking for someone who shares these values.
About the Role:
As a key member of our design team, you will:
Produce concept drawings and diagrams, developing them into comprehensive construction drawing sets.
Prepare working drawings, engineering plans, technical illustrations, interiors/ joinery, plumbing and electrical diagrams.
Interpret client requirements and prepare technical specifications with associated documentation.
Generate accurate 2D and 3D models as required.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all drawings and documents in accordance with local council requirements, relevant codes and standards.
Collaborate with our estimating team to support project costing and feasibility.
Assist with the Interior Design component of the project and offer suggestions on finishes and fixtures accordingly, experience with interior design would be an advantage.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in drafting within residential building arena – custom homes and renovations preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit), with 3D modelling capabilities.
Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, Australian Building Codes, and council legislation.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
