About the role

Tiffanys Specialty Cakes & Savouries' is seeking a Qualified Pastry Chef to join our team in Everton Hills, QLD. We are seeking a passionate, detailed-oriented and skilled Pastry chef to join our growing team for producing high-quality cakes and pastry products at scale. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday shift only (may start early morning from 3am shift), offering the opportunity to apply your expertise in the bakery and pastry industry. In this role, you will not only showcase your cake artistry but also play a key part in maintaining lean production processes and adhering to HACCP standards in a high volume setting.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and baking a variety of specialty cakes, pastries, and savouries to the highest quality standards. Ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency across all products.

• Assisting with the decoration and presentation of baked goods using various techniques. Implementing lean production practices to minimize waste and maximize efficiency

• Work closely with Production manager to develop new recipes, enhance production techniques and create innovative seasonal or custom cake offerings.

• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Strickly adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) protocols to ensure all products are safe, hygienic and compliant with food safety standards.

• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely production. Manage production schedules, ensuring all orders are fulfilled. Coordinate inventory management, ordering ingredients and controlling cost to ensure production remain efficient and within budget

• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• overseeing, managing and training apprenticed staff member

• Manual handling - ability to lift up to 25kg

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in baking, pastry, or a related culinary field

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a commercial bakery or kitchen

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods

• Strong time management and organisational skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
