Orchard Operator

About the Role 

Are you looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? CMV Farms is seeking an experienced Orchard Operator / Farm Hand to join our pistachio farm in Robinvale, Victoria for a fulltime role. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery and being part of a practical, safety-focused team.

The successful applicant will be required to work some weekends and shift work, including nights, when needed throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities 

• Tractor operation and general machinery maintenance
• Tree pruning with a chainsaw and secateurs
• Harvest machinery operation
• Irrigation maintenance
• Orchard maintenance and manual field work

• Land and soil preparation, including spraying fertiliser and pesticide solutions
• Orchard development work

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in farm machinery operation, including tractor experience
• Attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Chemical certification desirable
• Team player and willingness to learn new skills
• Safety-focused mindset
• Comfortable working autonomously
• Current Driver’s Licence essential
• Must have full-time Australian work rights
