The Role

Our client, a highly respected global insurer, is seeking a Claims Specialist with experience in Commercial Property (ISR) claims in Sydney. There will also be ancillary exposure to Energy and Construction risks in this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, take ownership of complex claims, and build meaningful connections across the business.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of Commercial Property claims through their full life cycle.
• Attend mediations, settlement discussions, and arbitration as needed.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with underwriting to support business development and retention.
• Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims.
• Represent the business externally and contribute to a high-performing claims culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing Commercial Property claims, including construction and energy related claims.
• This experience could be as a Claims Specialist or as a Lawyer.
• Strong understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act and related legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with commercial awareness.
• Technically confident and detail-oriented, with strong decision-making ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern claims systems.
• Legal, broking, or underwriting exposure is advantageous.
