We are currently redeveloping our Coronary Care Unit with delivery expected late 2026 and seeking a new NUM to lead the transition of the team

We are an acute surgical and medical hospital with 249 beds, conveniently located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne easily accessible via the Monash Freeway and East Link. 

Our services include a 24 hour Emergency Department, 10 bed ICU, 17 bed Coronary care unit, 12 Theatres including a Hybrid and Cardiac Cath Laboratory,

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a coronary care nurse to join our dynamic team and expand their experience and development as a Nurse Unit Manager.

About the Role

The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), will be responsible for the overall leadership of CCU, including cardiac procedural, acute cardiac and cardiothoracic patients. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of best practice clinical care and positive patient outcomes. 

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high quality, person centred care. You will guide and support your team, lead quality initiatives, and contribute to a positive, safe, and efficient work environment.

You will oversee the operational effectiveness across the clinical area, including day to day management, workforce coordination, quality and safety and resource utilisation.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor degree in nursing.

• Well refined leadership skills and effective interpersonal communication skills.

• Postgraduate qualification in critical care or cardiac care.

• Previous management experience within an acute hospital environment
