Irrigation Technician

Hussey & Co, established in 1975, are renowned for producing Australia’s finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes. 

We are seeking a highly driven and capable individual who has the ability to solve problems and think on their feet.

Reporting directly to the Irrigation Manager, you will be responsible for irrigation related duties and maintenance of the irrigation systems across farm locations in Gippsland.

Pay Rate: Depends on experience - Hussey & Co pay above the Agricultural award. Full Time opportunity is available for the right candidate. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of the irrigation systems

• Maintain accurate records of programs

• Following irrigation schedules 

• General tractor driving and machine operation.  Excavator experience is an advantage.

• Irrigation experience 

• Practical minded and problem-solving skills

• Horticultural knowledge and practical experience

• Calm under pressure 

• Communication skills – written and verbal

• Computer skills

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions

• Organised, methodical and timely
