Capricornia Works Supervisor

ACE Materials Handling Pty Ltd is an Australian owned engineering and materials handling company that has been operating since 1991 with branches in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Cairns, and Townsville.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Works Supervisor to lead our Central Queensland operations, covering the Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone region, in a full-time capacity. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to take genuine ownership of a region, with a clear pathway to Area Management for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for the technical and operational supervision of works across the region, including inspection, service, maintenance, repair and breakdown assistance on a broad range of materials handling equipment. This role will see you working hands-on alongside your team, not just directing from the sidelines, while supervising staff and coordinating resources and works planning in partnership with our business management team.

To succeed in this position the ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with great communication skills and meet the following criteria;

• Hold an Electrical Trade qualification, with mechanical experience or aptitude

• Proven works supervision experience, with the capacity to lead technically as well as administratively

• The ability to problem solve with strong diagnostic skills

• An independent administrative ability, comfortable operating without close day-to-day oversight

• Great communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, technicians and business management to coordinate people, resources and works

• High attention to detail

• Excellent time management

• Positive attitude and approach to challenges

• Current Driver's License

• White Card

The following qualifications/experience would be desirable for this role however, not essential and will be organised and funded for the successful candidate as required for their role:

• Working at Heights Certificate

• EWP License (<11m / >11m)

• First Aid Certificate

• CPR/LVR
