About the Role
Rewilding Minds is seeking a full-time Support Worker to provide in-home and community-based support to people diagnosed with Brain Cancer.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assisting with domestic tasks and chores such as shopping, menu planning, cooking, washing, toileting and cleaning
• Helping with outings, social activities and other daily routines
• Providing companionship and support to assist clients to develop their existing skills, abilities and confidence
• Accompanying disabled persons during daily activities
• Assisting clients with their mobility
• Preparing food for clients
• Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
• Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
• May do shopping and run errands

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
• Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) or a Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115) or a Bachelor of Social Work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a community-based setting

Nomination for a temporary work visa and/or permanent residency may be considered for eligible candidates, subject to meeting all legislative requirements.
