Grounds Team Member

The Chocolateries – Yarra Valley is recruiting for a reliable, hands-on Grounds Team Member join the team at our stunning venue.

The Role

This is a hands-on, autonomous role with responsibility for ensuring the venue is clean, safe, and ready for our customers, while also supporting our warehouse and facilities operations.

This position will primarily involve Saturday and/or Sunday shifts, making it ideal for someone looking for regular weekend work.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Open entrance gates by 8:30am and complete opening, evening and closing check lists

• Set up safety mats and ensure the venue is clean, safe and ready for opening.

• Check and care for animals, including feeding, water and regular counts.

• Collect and distribute department stock lists, including keeping café milk fridges stocked.

• Check docks, unload company vehicles, put stock away and maintain general housekeeping.

• Empty and change bins, collect rubbish and break down cardboard for recycling.

• Assist in cleaning the café and showroom.

• Regularly monitor the property, including animal safety, customer activity and safe driveway traffic.

• Complete other duties as directed by management.

About You

You’ll enjoy working independently but also be a team player who is happy to jump in and help wherever needed.

You will:

• Be physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying up to 25kg.

• Be comfortable and capable of handling animals.

• Be capable of using equipment such as water pumps, compressors, mowers etc.

• Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

• Have a flexible, can-do attitude and be happy working in a fast-paced environment.
