Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of exciting projects, Fairbrother is seeking motivated and reliable Joinery Assemblers / Skilled Labourers to join our Joinery team in Devonport.

Fairbrother has recently completed a major redevelopment of our Devonport head office and Joinery workshop, creating a modern, purpose-built environment designed to support our people, innovation, and future growth. The redevelopment features a modern Joinery workshop alongside state of the art office facilities, bringing our teams together in a shared, collaborative environment. Designed to enhance both capability and capacity, the new facility provides an outstanding platform for our growing Joinery Division as we continue to deliver award-winning architectural and commercial joinery projects across Tasmania and expand our presence in Victoria. About the Role

As a Joinery Assembler / Skilled Labourer, you will play an important role in supporting workshop operations through the accurate assembly of joinery products and components. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble joinery components, materials, and products in accordance with drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
• Assist with the preparation, fitting, and installation of joinery products where required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
• Support material preparation and workshop organisation.
• Ensure tools, plant, and equipment are maintained, stored, and accounted for.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, joiners, project teams, and other workshop personnel.
• Demonstrate Fairbrother's commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a joinery, construction, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Experience as an assembler, skilled labourer, trades assistant, or similar.

Requirements

• Current Driver Licence.
• White Card (or willingness to obtain).
