Chef de Partie / Sous Chef – The Clareville

The Clareville is looking for an ambitious Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join one of the Northern Beaches' most exciting kitchens. Whether you're an experienced CDP looking to step up or an established Sous Chef wanting to work alongside one of Australia's most experienced luxury lodge chefs, we'd love to hear from you.

We have some great programs for kitchen management. If you're already proficient in them, great. If not, we're happy to teach you and help expand your knowledge.

You'll be working directly alongside our Chef/Owner, Cooper Dickson, an Avalon local who returned home after almost 20 years leading kitchens at some of Australia's most celebrated luxury lodges, including Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island, Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island and Longitude 131 at Uluru.

Cooper is passionate about exceptional produce, seafood, sustainability and creating refined food without the ego. More importantly, he genuinely enjoys mentoring young chefs and passing on the knowledge he's gained throughout his career. This is a rare opportunity to work one-on-one with a chef who has spent two decades cooking at the highest level while helping shape the future of an exciting independent restaurant.

If your long-term goal is to run your own kitchen or open your own restaurant, you'll also gain valuable insight into how a successful independent venue operates. You'll work closely with the ownership team and see far more than just what happens during service.

We're located on Sydney's Northern Beaches, so please only apply if the commute is realistic for you.

Sponsorship may be available in the future; however, we require a minimum of six months working with us before discussing sponsorship opportunities.
