COMMERCIAL COFFEE MACHINE TECHNICIAN

$70,000–$85,000, plus commission for new accounts secured.
Full-time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Company vehicle, phone and tools provided.

An established independent specialty coffee roaster is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Coffee Machine Technician to join its service team.

This is a hands-on field service role involving the installation, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of commercial coffee machines, grinders and associated café equipment across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The role may also occasionally involve servicing residential coffee machines and interstate travel.

You will represent the business in customers’ venues, so we are looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with professionalism, clear communication and excellent customer service.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing coffee machine faults
• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Installing commercial coffee machines, grinders and associated equipment
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
• Testing equipment and confirming it is operating correctly before leaving a customer’s site
• Cleaning the machine and leaving the workspace clean and tidy after completing each service
• Completing accurate service reports and recording parts used
• Communicating clearly with customers and the internal team
• Managing the parts, tools and stock carried in your service vehicle
• Providing customers with basic equipment care and operational guidance
• Travelling throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria as required
• Undertaking occasional overnight or interstate travel, on a very limited basis and with advance notice wherever possible

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial coffee machines
• Experience working with related café equipment
• A practical and solutions focused approach to technical problems
• Strong attention to detail and pride in completing work properly
• Excellent time management and the ability to work independently
• Clear and professional communication skills
• A friendly and customer focused manner
• A current Australian driver licence
• Full Australian working rights

Experience working with leading commercial espresso machine, grinder and automated milk system brands will be highly regarded.

Applications will also be considered from experienced appliance, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing or field service technicians who have strong diagnostic skills and an interest in commercial coffee equipment.
