Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT) is a Canberra-based, nationally accredited not-for-profit organisation with more than 30 years' experience delivering evidence-informed mental health promotion and prevention programs. Through lived experience-led education, professional learning and community engagement, we work with children, young people, educators, workplaces and communities to improve mental health literacy, reduce stigma, strengthen help-seeking and support safer, more inclusive environments. Why join our Board ?
MIEACT is seeking new Directors to join its eight-member Board. Working collaboratively with fellow Directors and the CEO, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance, sustainability and impact of the organisation. As part of planned Board succession and leadership transition, opportunities will also be available for interested Directors to nominate for the positions of Vice-President and Treasurer. Successful candidates will be elected at the MIEACT Annual General Meeting on 18 November 2026 in Canberra.
We are seeking Directors with expertise in one or more of the following:

All Directors are expected to demonstratePrevious Board experience is welcomed but not essential.
