About us

Elite Survey is a NSW-based surveying practice delivering cadastral and engineering surveys across the eastern seaboard. We've built the business around a model most firms still haven't caught up to: a tight core team working remotely, supported by a network of trusted field crews and subcontractors we deploy where the work is.

That means less time sitting in Sydney traffic to get to an office, and more time doing actual surveying work. It also means our project book runs from suburban subdivisions through to major infrastructure — from the NSW South Coast up into QLD — because we're not geographically tied to one depot.

Projects you'll work on

We back our capability with the project list to match:

• Warringah Freeway Upgrade — one of our current engineering projects, demonstrating the scale our team operates at

• Sydney Fish Markets — completed delivery including strata plans and full engineering survey scope

• Cadastral subdivisions ranging from small infill lots through to larger multi-lot developments across NSW

The mix is deliberate — it keeps the work interesting and it keeps our surveyors sharp across both disciplines.

The role

We're looking for a Senior Registered Surveyor (3–7 years post-registration) to run mixed cadastral and engineering projects from quote through to lodgement. You'll own your jobs end-to-end, coordinate the field crews who execute them, and sit at the table when we're scoping the bigger pieces of work.

Day to day you'll be:

• Leading cadastral surveys — subdivisions, easements, identification surveys, strata, plan preparation and lodgement through NSW LRS

• Running engineering and construction projects — setout, detail and contour, volumes, as-builts, monitoring

• Coordinating and instructing our field crew network — scoping the field work, briefing crews, reviewing their data, and getting on-site yourself when the job warrants it

• Managing client relationships directly — councils, developers, builders, engineers, solicitors

• Reviewing junior work, signing off plans, and helping us build the next generation of registered surveyors

What we're offering

Being direct, because most ads aren't:

• $160,000–$195,000 base + super, plus fully maintained vehicle and on-road costs covered — top of market for the right person

• Genuinely work from home. Not "hybrid, but really we want you in 4 days a week." Your office is your office. You go to site when the project calls for it, not because someone wants to count heads

• A real pathway to equity / partnership for the right person. We'll have that conversation with you in your first 12 months — no vague "growth opportunities" handwaving

• Real variety — one week it's a coastal development up north, next it's setout on a Sydney commercial build. You're not doing the same job on repeat

• Field work without the field-work lifestyle — you coordinate crews rather than personally driving to every job. When you do go to site, travel and accommodation are covered

• Phone, laptop, and all PPE/field gear provided

• BOSSI fees covered, ongoing PD, and support if you're mentoring candidates toward registration

What we're looking for

• Registered Surveyor under the Surveying and Spatial Information Act 2002 (NSW)

• 3–7 years post-registration experience across both cadastral and engineering work

• Based in Greater Sydney with a home office setup (or able to set one up — we'll help)

• Confident running projects end-to-end, briefing field crews, and dealing directly with clients

• Solid with the standard software stack (Civil 3D, 12d, MAGNET / Trimble Business Center, or equivalent)

• Self-directed — remote work suits people who can run their own day without someone looking over their shoulder

• Current driver's licence
