The role

As a full-time General Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, connecting, commissioning, maintaining and modifying electrical equipment, wiring and control systems across commercial projects.

Your duties will include:

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, plans and specifications
• Installing and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment and control systems
• Pulling, dressing and terminating cables
• Installing cable trays, conduits and trunking cable systems
• Testing and commissioning electrical installations
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Installing, terminating, testing and fault-finding data and communications cabling
• Working with security systems and devices, including access control, CCTV and intercom systems
• Working independently and as part of a team on commercial building projects

Qualifications and work experience:

• A recognised electrical qualification or trade certificate (or in the process of obtaining your electrical licence)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrician or similar role working on commercial buildings or electrical projects
• Sound knowledge of electrical installation, testing and fault-finding procedures
• The ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
