Key responsibilities

• Installing major domestic appliances including cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines and refrigeration units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant safety standards

• Conducting electrical assessments and installations to support appliance setup, including circuit testing, wiring and connection work

• Performing electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics on appliances to identify faults and implement appropriate solutions

• Ensuring all work complies with Australian electrical safety standards and building codes

• Maintaining detailed records of all installation and service work completed, including documentation of electrical testing and certification

• Providing excellent customer service and clear communication regarding work scope, timeframes and any issues identified

• Safely transporting tools, equipment and appliances to customer locations

• Liaising with customers, other trades and management to coordinate installations and resolve any technical challenges

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials

What we're looking for

• Current and valid electrical qualification recognised in South Australia, such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent

• Proven experience as a qualified electrician, with demonstrated knowledge of domestic and commercial electrical work

• Experience with appliance installation and electrical connections, or willingness to develop expertise in this specialised area

• Sound understanding of electrical safety standards, Australian Standards and building codes relevant to appliance installation

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, circuit testers and insulation resistance testers

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

• Valid driver's licence

• Physical capability to lift and move heavy appliances and equipment safely

• Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping practices
