Maayu Mali Case Manager
Maayu Mali is a culturally grounded rehabilitation service operated under Pius X, supporting residents to heal, rebuild, and reconnect with family, culture, and community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team developing a new drug and alcohol residential and day rehabilitation program that will contribute to positive change in our community.
Maayu Mali is seeking a committed and culturally respectful Case Manager to join our rehabilitation team. This role is hands‑on, client‑focused, and central to supporting participants through their 12‑week residential program.
This is an Identified Aboriginal position, as the role requires cultural knowledge, lived experience, and community connection essential to supporting residents and strengthening cultural programs.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide day‑to‑day case management support to residents, including progress monitoring, engagement, and program participation.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and real‑time client records using internal data systems.
• Build culturally respectful, trusting relationships that strengthen motivation and sustained participation.
• Identify attendance, behavioural, or engagement concerns early and escalate promptly to the Senior Case Manager.
• Provide evidence‑based program recommendations aligned with each client’s needs, goals, and readiness.
What We’re Looking For
• Aboriginal person with strong cultural knowledge and community connection.
• Experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, case management, or community services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely, think practically, and support residents with compassion.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
· Driver’s Licence
· Cert IV AOD or equivalent
· Working With Children Card
· First Aid Certificate
· National Police Check
