Pastry Chef/Baker

Busy North Shore bakery seeks a committed, passionate, qualified pastry chef or baker to assist in the production of freshly baked pies, pastries, cakes and other goods

Key Responsibilities

-            Cake making and decorating

-            Daily freshly baked and decorated pastries

-            Pie and sausage roll production

-            Following existing recipes and recipe creation

-            Preparing creams, custards, icings and ganache

-            Running ovens during service

-            Stock management and rotation

-            Supervising up to two apprentices

About you

-            Proven experience in a similar role

-            Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

-            Positive, collaborative and able to work as a team and independently

-            Proficiency in cake decorating

-            Passionate about the industry and willing to voice new ideas and ways to improve the business, products and efficiency

-            Solid understanding of workplace health and safety, and food hygiene standards
