Plant Mechanic

The ATB Morton Group of Companies are seeking a Plant Mechanic to join our team! 

This is an amazing opportunity to join a team that is all about mates working together to ensure our fleet of vehicles, small trucks and plant equipment is safe and reliable to service our customers.

Key Accountabilities

• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and the environment

• Assess and perform maintenance tasks to ensure the safe condition and reliability of fleet vehicles and equipment.

• Working on plant and equipment for the ATB Morton Group of Companies.

• Troubleshoot mechanical problems including fault finding, overhauls and diagnostics

• Attend breakdowns and callouts

• Perform repairs and maintenance

• Accurate completion of job cards and specific paperwork

Selection Criteria

• Relevant mechanical qualifications, Trade Certificate 

• Have a valid driver’s licence

• Sound mechanical knowledge and experience

• Previous experience working on light vehicles and equipment

• Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities

• Demonstrated commitment to equipment reliability, quality outcomes and maintaining accurate records

• Highly organised in planning, ability to multitask and manage own work to schedule

• Display enthusiasm and work well in a team environment

Highly Regarded Skills / Licences

• Previous experience and a Heavy vehicle/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate advantageous

• A current RMS Authorised Vehicle Inspection Certification

• Forklift (FLT)

• HR Drivers Licence
